John Arcovio received the Holy Spirit and was baptized in Jesus Name on July 9th, 1975. He recognized and received his call into the ministry in 1980 at the age of 16 years old. John Arcovio's parents were church planters, planting churches in the 70's and 80' in Texas and Florida. John Arcovio began full-time evangelistic ministry in 1985. In 1992 he met and married Andrea McDonald from Eureka, CA. Andrea's parents pastored Full Gospel Tabernacle in Eureka, CA for 40 years. Andrea and John traveled in full-time evangelistic ministry from 1992-1999.
In 1994 John Arcovio helped Nathaniel Haney from Stockton California plant a church in Santa Rosa, CA (preaching for the church while conducting lengthy revivals for Christian Life Center, Stockton, CA). When Pastor Nathaniel Haney felt impressed to resign and return to Stockton to help his father, John Arcovio expressed a burden for the city of Santa Rosa, CA and expressed his desire to assume the pastorate. Bishop Kenneth Haney advised John Arcovio to come to Stockton, CA and serve on staff instead and he submitted to this advice. In 1998 John Arcovio preached a revival for then pastor of The Church of Acts in Santa Rosa, CA and at the close of the revival, pastor Todd Johnson expressed to John Arcovio that several prophetic words had been spoken ion the meeting that confirmed their decision to resign and return to Modesto to assist Randy Keyes of Revival Tabernacle. Pastor Johnson informed John Arcovio that he was resigning the next day (Sunday) and John Arcovio was not required to be in the service. When John Arcovio returned to his hotel room that evening, the Lord spoke to him and reminded him of the burden and calling He had placed upon John Arcovio's heart. John called Brother Johnson and expressed he wanted to be considered to be pastor of The Church of Acts. Brother Johnson informed him that he had turned the decision over to District Superintendent Paul Price and to call him. John called Brother Price and was assured that his name would be presented to the board of The Church of Acts. The timing for Brother Arcovio to be in Santa Rosa proved not to be right as his name was never presented.
He then served as senior pastor for over the next ten years in Fortuna, California & St Joseph, Missouri.
During this time he trained, mentored and released over 20 different Ministers who are actively involved in full-time ministry across the world. He founded two church plant works, helped start /build over 20 overseas churches and helped build two bible colleges. He also conducted over 150 Holy Ghost Crusades on four continents, in over 35 countries, witnessing over 600,000 people filled with the baptism of the Holy Ghost. His books, CD's, DVD's and other publications have been circulated thorough the world, blessing and enhancing the lives of thousands. He also founded the annual “Eagle's Summit Apostolic Conference” which is held in various nations.
He also served during this time as a sought after prophetic minister, international crusades director, and popular conference speaker. He also founded Spirit Led Ministries International during this time which produces ministry resource materials and serves as a multifaceted international outreach. He also wrote numerous books including the bestseller, The Way of The Eagle, which has been translated into eight different languages (Mandarin,Hungarian,Amharic,Telugu,French Malay,Russian,Spanish).
In the spring of 2007, John and Andrea began to sense a stirring in their hearts to return to their burden for Santa Rosa, CA to plant and pastor a life giving church. On October 8th, 2007 they resigned as Senior Pastor of The Pentecostals of St. Joseph in St. Joseph, Missouri and in November 2007, moved to Stockton, CA to teach for a season in Christian Life College. While teaching in the college and traveling full time with ministry engagements, we began preparing our steps to launch Spirit Led Church in the Santa Rosa/ Rohnert Park area.
With the blessing and advise of the then District Superintendent Alan Abbey they moved to Santa Rosa, CA on September 3rd, 2008 and began prophetic prayer walks and bible studies. The Jerry Farley family moved to Rohnert Park to assist our efforts to launch the work. We held our first service in our living room on October 18th, 2008. The Arcovio's personally had $80,000 saved that they planned to use to help secure their housing, however due to no NAM funding being available, it was necessary for them to begin living off these funds, as well as John Arcovio to return to traveling full-time on weekends.
By February 2009 we had over 40 contacts and felt to begin having services in a 1,200 sq foot office space located in Rohnert Park, CA. Our monthly overhead for this building was $3,000 per month. By July 2010 the stress of John Arcovio having to travel our every weekend for offerings to meet the families and church budget of $10,000+ each month began to take its toll on John and Andrea's health. They moved their main service to Tuesday evenings to accommodate John Arcovio's weekend travels. Refusing to be discouraged, they continued to teach bible studies and conduct open-air park concerts.
However, by August 2010 at they found themselves completely out of funds. John and Andrea prayed and felt led to move back to Stockton, CA to save on approximately 50% cost of living expenses and to commute weekly the 110 miles to Rohnert Park, CA to continue the small group meetings on Tuesday evenings. John and Andrea continued this model for the rest of 2010 and 2011 with the assistance of the Jerry Farley family.
In November of 2011 John Arcovio began to feel a stirring of the Spirit to move back onsite to Santa Rosa and re-launch Spirit Led Church with the main changes being: relaxed and relational church service structures, returning to a main Sunday 10:45 am service and by faith John Arcovio staying home to oversee and nurture this church 3 weekends per month. On August 8th 2012 the Arcovio's moved back on location to Santa Rosa, CA and successfully re-launched on February 24th with 30 Dream Team members and 50 first time visitors.
A successful Hard-Launch was accomplished on June 2nd, 2013 with 50 members. Spirit Led Church now calls the Steele Lane Community Center their permanant home!
John Arcovio is presently seeking to minister out on Thursdays and Fridays flying home on Saturdays for Spirit Led Church's Sunday service. The Arcovio's are sincerely committed to their conviction that God is going to raise a great life-giving Apostolic Church in Santa Rosa, CA as well as many campus satellite works from Santa Rosa to San Fransisco along the 101 corridor!
